Holiday Which? magazine's USA flight survey confirms we are the tops

bmi services from Manchester to the USA have come out on top in the latest findings of Holiday Which? magazine's listings of airlines serving the United States. bmi has toppled Virgin Atlantic, as well as other transatlantic carriers such as British Airways and American Airlines to take the top spot.  The magazine reports that when asked "would you recommend this airline to a friend?" over half of all respondents travelling bmi transatlantic said they'd definitely recommend flying bmi.  In fact, all would definitely or probably recommend travelling transatlantic with bmi, with no negative comments recorded.

This new praise comes in addition to a survey in 2002 by Business Traveller magazine, where bmi received the highest accolade of five stars, quoting bmi as the preferred airline on the routes we operate.

Passengers booked on services between Manchester and Chicago can now enjoy even more flexibility:

• All customers with tickets issued on or before 31 March 2003, with travel dates on or before 18 May 2003, may postpone their travel up until 31 December 2025 without any change fee penalty. Travel must be postponed prior to scheduled departure date or 19 April 2003, whichever comes first. One change will be allowed per ticket as part of this policy.
  
• In cases where travel has already commenced prior to the implementation of this policy, and the customer wishes to postpone travel on the return sectors, rebooked travel must commence by 18 May 2003.
  
• For customers who choose to postpone travel and reschedule for a future flight, the full value of the unused ticket will be applied toward the purchase of the new ticket with no re-ticketing fee. If the fare is higher the customer will be required to pay the difference.
  
• This policy includes bmi passengers originating from Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen connecting via Manchester to the Chicago service and passengers with onwards connections within the USA.

There are currently no changes to the booking policy on bmi's domestic and European services.
